You should treat your sites as if they were real estate. Each and every pixel is important. You are the landlord of your domain. Advertisers and affiliates are the renters. If they are not paying, time to send out a few eviction notices. If you want to make money online, you have to be observant and be ready to make changes to your blog. Fine-tuning and adjusting the structure is important.
Do not become attached to any particular money making methods that you have been using if they are duds. Switch them out and try something new. You might find a few gems just waiting to be polished.
I have tried out a few methods over the last month. In the beginning, try out a method for at least that amount of time. Your traffic will be relatively low and it will be hard to judge correctly the good and bad income producers.
If you add too many at first to try out, your readers will feel that your blog is just a money making machine instead of actually being informative. Do not alienate your readers by providing more ads than valuable content.
How do you decide which income producers to eliminate from your blog ? How long do you wait until you get rid of a bad money producer ?
