Using youtube to Increase Traffic to Your Making Money Online Blog

October 3rd, 2008 | Posted in Uncategorized, blog marketing, experiments

I have to figure out a way to incorporate my fabulously expensive celebrity engagement ring in a video online that works well for affiliate marketing.

Youtube gets tons of traffic on a daily basis. Traffic is crucial for your make money online blogIt is time for you to tap into it if you haven’t already done so. The plus side is that it is free to upload to youtube and the videos stay on their servers which means that your precious bandwidth stays in tact.

Your video doesn’t have to be super professional. Fill the description of the video with lots of powerful keywords and of course add your website link to it. This is also a great way generate money with your affiliate links. The visual aspect is entertaining and interactive. It will provide people with an instant glimpse into the pluses of a certain product or service.

Create videos that are short ( less than 2 minutes ) and create many of them. It is free to add videos to youtube and you can add as many as you wish. I will experiment with this method and report back on the results in a future post.

It also is a great way to market clickbank hoplinks. The cost is zero and you can set-up a video in a very short time. It is best to use a screen recorder program to do so.

There is a program that I recommend as a great recorder. It is an internet marketing version of camstudio that sends the viewer directly to a URL of your choice at the end of video. This feature is very powerful with respect to conversion rates. You can read more about the program by Clicking Here.

Forcing Your Blog Into Its Own Niche

July 20th, 2008 | Posted in Goals, Uncategorized, blog marketing

Listen here ! I don’t need to pick a niche, I am a niche !

Picking your niche seems obvious, but if your approach is too broad and predictable you will lose your audience. Why would a visitor have to return to your site when they can read the same old stuff on thousands of other blogs ? You have to make your blog stand out. That doesn’t entail adding super fancy graphics and flashing lights, just enough uniqueness to get your readers’ attention and draw them in.

My plan of opening multiple blogs at the same time will be in motion soon. I will try to have the first five in different niches. To do this, I will have to decide on a general design and layout that is appealing to most readers in a particular niche. However, for each different niche, I will also have to focus on finding unique approaches in order to make the blogs stand out.

Handling multiple niches at once is a huge juggling act both mentally and time wise. A systematic approach will have to be implemented right away. If you decide on developing many niches at the same time, you will have to read blogs that are in that niche. Not just the most popular, but the up and coming ones. Best way to do this is by building up your library of RSS feeds and going through each feed often. This approach will keep you updated on your niche and will create really good ideas for your posts. For instance, if you have read several posts about a new method of generating money on a blog, commit yourself to taking it a step further and trying out personally that new method. You don’t have to go overboard; just making an attempt to setting it up on your site or implementing a method is better then just reporting on it blindly. Search out other bloggers on forums that have tried out this method and then report back in your blog. Your posting will have a more personalized analysis of that service or method that your readers will appreciate.
