It is so interesting having my very own website portfolio !
You have to learn to market your main website before adding too many sites to your portfolio. Buying up websites, spending oodles of money on content and marketing is risky for beginners. Your best approach is to learn lessons in the least expensive fashion possible.
If you already have domain registered that you have not developed, start working on them now. As soon as you have launched a site, market it in different ways. Write a couple of articles related to its theme and submit those articles to submission sites. Leave comments in forums that are niche related and attach a link to this new site within your messages. Once the site is o earning on average a dollar a day, move onto another domain.
I had registered quite a few domains that still need to be developed. I will work on those until they all are up and running and then I begin to register even more domains. Any domain name can earn its way. The marketing approach is the key. You will become frustated with certain sites that are not responding to your typical low cost marketing methods. Do not give up on them. Come up with new ways to increase traffic. Your skill to generate income from any domain will prove to be invaluable as your portfolio grows. It will become easier and easier to profit from your domains as your abilities are enhanced.

Hi Goof, Sorry I havn’t been around for awhile, I’ve just read this last post and it seems that I happen to come at the right time. I’ve been thinking about Affiliate Niche Marketing, concentrating on one item and just trying to see how that works out. So maybe I should take the plunge after reading your post… thanks for the push…I think! lol
By the way your entrecard is presently on my site, thanks a bunch.
Hi Goof,
That’s the million dollar question; should you perfect one site or create dozens? I would guess it’s much better to focus on one site. I for better or worse have about a dozen. It is unfotunately too easy to yield to the temptation to create a new niche

Me too, I already registered a new .com domain but it stills sitting on my GoDaddy account, I’m too busy too make a blog out of it.
Hi Goof,
I do think you are right about beginning with low cost methods, but we need to be relentless with those methods since it takes more time to bild a huge traffic and therefore better readership.
jj-momscashblog : Niche Marketing is the way to go. Best to find niches that have not be exploited. Make sure that you keep me updated on your progress.
thesuccess : It is a good plan to focus mostly on your main blog in the beginning. Use it as a learning tool. Branch out slowly and you will be surprised how easy it becomes over time to add more and more sites that make money.
ipanks : Never give up, if you make mistakes along the way, you will become a stronger internet marketer.
BM : If you haven’t developed a domain yet, best to park it so that it can earn in the meantime. You might earn pennies, but pennies form dollars
Also, don’t become discouraged that you have domains sitting, just get to them one at a time and keep pushing forward.
Luis Torres : Low cost marketing is ok in the beginning. I personally will be putting any income earned straight back into my domain portfolio for at least another 5-6 months.
hi goof,
I agree with you. At first we must concentrated on just one site to make it works. This main site must be optimally take care and have a nice content and audience.

@thesuccess: I’d prefer perfecting a site then go for another. 10 unoptimized sites are more likely result nothing than 1 site runs at maximum speed
